2026-03-19The April 2026 update of Business Central introduces several strategically important improvements that represent progress not only from a technological but also from a business perspective. Setting up service participants in Company Information
The introduction of Service Participants in Company Information strengthens the foundation of reliable electronic document exchange across all markets. The company identification model is now aligned with the participant framework already used for customers and vendors, enabling more accurate, consistent, and flexible sending and receiving of e-documents.
Currently, Business Central identifies the recipient company of electronic documents based on tax number or GLN. This approach is not standardized across all countries and does not always fully support local identification requirements.
The new feature extends Company Information with the Service Participant model already used for customers and vendors. As a result, company identification becomes more consistent and future-proof in electronic document exchange.
